Casa da Musica is located between the Historical Centre and the Business Centre of Porto and was designed by the famous architect Rem Koolhaas in 2001 as a celebration of Porto being European Capital of Culture; it has now become one of he landmark buildings of Porto given its striking modernist appearance. The Casa da Musica has several event rooms as well as the main concert hall and can host up to 1238 people. It can be a striking location to hold an event, as a contrast to a more traditional hotel as an event venue in Porto.
