It is no easy task to decide which would be the best city from around the world to choose for your corporate event – just too many fabulous locations to choose from! It is our job to bang the drum for Porto and its attractions are well rehearsed – fabulous climate, historic buildings, port wine culture, beautiful river/ocean, good value for money, wonderful cuisine, great transport links and so on. There is one factor which is often overlooked when considering the best location for an event and that is the friendliness of the local culture and we defy you to find a more friendly place than Porto!

In fact, whilst we like to think that Porto is the friendliest place in the world (we would say that, wouldn’t we….), the 2026 Condé Naste Readers’ Choice Awards nearly agrees with us. The Condé Nast readers reserved the top spot for Melbourne with 98.52 out of 100, but hot on their heals was our beloved Porto in second place with 98.33. It is something that everyone who comes to Porto can’t help but remark on, just how friendly the locals are!

Having friendly staff around at your event, not only helps to improve the atmosphere, encouraging attendees to relax and enjoy themselves, but it can also reflect well on the image of the company holding the event. Most companies do everything they can to promote a warm and caring brand image, so you might as well let the locals do their bit to join in!
